Shhhh!
I am having a glorious morning! I woke up at 7:30 to discover that there were no extra bodies in bed with me. Because of this, I did not ache from having to sleep around a toddler-sized body, nor had I been kicked or head-butted throughout the night. I kissed my husband goodbye, and sat down to read the paper. I noticed that there wasn’t a boy already at my computer, so I was free to sit at my own desk even! I sat by the window, listening to the rain softly falling, read through the newspaper, and did both crossword puzzles, all in silence. As I sit here typing this entry, I have no one on my lap "helping" me type. I’ve been on my own for an entire hour and ten minutes! And still, children are sleeping. But, hark, what is this sound mine ears hear? It’s the flushing of the toilet in the kids bathroom. *sigh* I suppose my morning alone is to be over too soon.
But, hey! At least you did get some nice alone time. Good for you!
I hope that you get lots more relaxing, quiet mornings like this!
