Question…
…is celery one of those veggies that’s supposed to grow if left too long? You know, like potatoes or onions. Because I have big, green, leafy leaves growing out of our bag of celery.

Eeeee…I don’t think so. Usually they just turn to mush. Maybe you have a magical bag of celery. You should let it grow and see if it sprouts a stalk you can climb.

Are you SURE those leaves weren’t there when you bought them????! * sniffs your breath to see if you’ve been drinking again before shopping *

Nicole: I should’ve suspected something when Ethan said he traded the family milk cow for the celery!
Claudia: Drunk shopping! *snort* If those leaves were already there, they’ve come to life and poked themselves out of the bag! Perhaps I should clean out the crisper sometime soon…

Sure, SURE….uh-huh, blame it on the crisper.

I know that *I*’d blame it on the crisper, too.
Too much month for the money? Darn that crisper!
Husband getting home late? That crisper … *glowers*
The next yearly pestilence? Must be the crisper.
Seriously, though … I have no idea where your celery’s bloomage is coming from. Call the Vatican!!
