Green Thumb
I’ll bet you guys thought I was exaggerating about my celery, didn’t you? Now you can clearly see that I wasn’t! Not only is it growing, it’s thriving! Apparently, my countertop is the ideal environment for the proliferation of foods consisting of negative calories. Is it strange that I now feel some sort of guilt-fueled* responsibility to keep the darn thing alive? As you can see in the picture, I now place my celery in the window for occassional doses of sunlight. Also? I sprinkle it with water. But only a very little bit. And in case you’re wondering, as I’m sure you are, there is nary a sign of roots.
*sigh*
I have to go. My celery has had enough sunlight for today. And I still have to sing it to sleep.
*The guilt comes into play whenever I think about throwing it away. I mean, you can’t just throw away living things…can you?

This actually HAS happened to me, and yes I had just as much unused celery as you. HAH! It will never continue to proliferate without roots though. Sorry. Your new little pet plant is doomed to a shallow existence without roots. Put it down Woman! LOL

That’s so awesome! I’m sorry that it will be short lived, but it is pretty cool looking. Set in some dirt and see if it roots. Who knows. hehe
