The Home Depot Kids Workshop - ‘Cause Free I Can Afford
This is Captain Byron. He’s the teacher for the Home Depot Kids Workshops at our local Home Depot.
He starts each workshop with a speech about tool safety and a cheer.
"Give me an H!" And the kids all scream, "H!" "Give me an O!" "O!" "Give me an M!" "M!" "Give me an E!" "E!"
"Give me a D!" "D!" "Give me an E!" "E!" Give me a P!" "P!" "Give me an O!" "O!" "Give me a T!" "T!"
"What’s that spell?" "HOME DEPOT!"
"WHAT’S THAT SPELL?" "HOME DEPOT!!"
"I CAN’T HEAR YOU!" "HOME DEPOT!!!!"
"AND WHAT DO WE DO?" "WORK SAFE!!!"
And then we play sword fighting with claw hammers.
Humor-Blogs.com hires other people to swing hammers for him.

*snrk* That last line? Except for the mental image I have of kids needing emergency dental work?
PRICELESS.
And I’m LOVING the pictures of the kids in the safety glasses. ^_^

Isn’t that what claw hammers were made for? hehe
Love the photos.

Wow, that guy looks like he actually knows how to build things. Unlike the teenage girl at my home depot that needed me to tell her how to build the birdhouse.
