Bedtime Rituals
Everybody has a ritual for bedtime. For some, it’s as simple as washing their face before turning out the lights. Others complicate things a bit more with tooth brushing, prayers, stuffed animals, etc. For my girls, the bedtime routine involves a game of hide and seek. Every night, as I turn out the lights in the boys’ room, the girls run down to their room and hide themselves under a blanket.
Where, oh where are those girls?
Are they in the closet?
Are they under the bed?
Perhaps they’re behind the dresser?
Oh me, oh my! If I don’t find them soon, I just might cry!
There they are!! Now why didn’t I think to look under the wiggling, giggling blanket in the corner to begin with? Silly me!
